Mayan Hot Chocolate

With a few simple ingredients, you’ll love our take on classic hot chocolate. By incorporating cinnamon, you get a nice sweet and spicy kick that complements the earthy qualities of our Honduran chocolate.


Serves 1

Ingredients

  • 1 cup vanilla almond milk or milk of choice

  • 3 pieces Honduras Chocolate Company chocolate (any cacao percentage)

  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

  • pinch of salt

Directions

1. Heat milk in a small saucepan over medium heat.

2. Meanwhile, add chocolate, cinnamon, and salt to a heat-proof bowl.

3. Once the milk comes to a simmer, remove the pan from the heat and slowly pour it into the chocolate mixture. Whisk vigorously to combine and melt the chocolate.

4. Pour the chocolate milk mixture back into the pan and bring to a simmer. Ladle into mugs and serve immediately.
